Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Ecavisto Educación Financiera S.A.S. ("Ecavisto", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit ecavisto.com and subscribe to our newsletter, in accordance with the Ecuadorian Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data (LOPDP) and its regulations.
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Ecavisto Educación Financiera S.A.S., RUC 1793214508001, with registered address at Av. Naciones Unidas E7-95 y Av. de los Shyris, Edificio Metropolitan, Piso 8, Quito, Ecuador. You can contact our Data Protection Officer at privacidad@ecavisto.com.
2. Data we collect
We collect the name and email address you provide when subscribing to the newsletter, together with technical data such as IP address, browser, device type, referring URL and interaction with our content. We do not collect financial data, national ID numbers or banking information through this website.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process your data (i) to deliver the newsletter and educational content you request, based on your consent; (ii) to comply with legal obligations under Ecuadorian law; and (iii) to protect our legitimate interest in analysing anonymised traffic and preventing fraud.
4. Sharing your data
We share your data only with vetted providers acting as processors on our behalf: an email delivery provider located in the European Union, a cloud hosting provider and, only with your consent, a web analytics provider. We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside Ecuador. Such transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent level of protection recognised by the Ecuadorian Data Protection Authority.
6. Retention
We keep newsletter data for as long as you remain subscribed and up to 12 months after you unsubscribe, for evidence purposes. Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 26 months in an anonymised or pseudonymised form.
7. Your rights
Under the LOPDP you have the right to access, rectify, update, delete, oppose, limit and port your data, as well as to withdraw your consent at any time and to lodge a complaint with the Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales of Ecuador. 8. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption, encrypted backups, role-based access controls and periodic security reviews to protect your data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect regulatory or operational changes. The date at the top of this page always indicates the current version.
